Obama's true sentiments are revealed

President Barack Obama on Friday forcefully endorsed building a mosque near ground zero, saying the country's founding principles demanded no less.

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country," Obama said, weighing in for the first time on a controversy that has riven New York City and the nation.

"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances," he said. "This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable."
Let's us stop calling this a religion. It is not It is a political belief system designed to terrorize and eliminate everybody who believes otherwise. Our constitution advocates freedom of thought and action according to just laws. the exact opposite of this so-called religion. Once we define the set of so called " beliefs" correctly then evil can be dealt with appropriately
I think we all know that right now it makes no difference what "We the People" think. The Supreme Court and Congress have put us in this mess - they abdicated their Constitutional responsibilities - they did not vet, they did not review cases on merit, and on and on.

Someone tossed a grenade at Ahmadiniihad

During a speech to a conference of expatriate Iranians in Tehran on Monday, Ahmadinejad said he believed he was the target of an assassination plot by Israel.
Someone tossed a grenade at Mahmoud Ahmadiniihad.
It wasn't Israel, they wouldn't have missed.
It's being reported now that it was just a firecracker.

Bloomberg's, Smoking Hypocrisy

After being caught off guard when the city’s health commissioner first proposed the idea, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said on Tuesday that he was leaning toward seeking a ban on smoking at city parks and beaches.

Mr. Bloomberg said the ban made sense because it would cut the health risks of secondhand smoke and reduce littering by smokers.

“We’re talking about banning smoking on beaches and in parks, and it’s partially because you can breathe the air,” Mr. Bloomberg said when he was asked about a ban. “It’s in the open air, but the air wafts in your direction. But it is also because people take their cigarette butts and the packages and just throw them away.”
Smoking is still permissible in NYC Hookah Bars, Irish bars, and Middle Eastern bars. Doesn't Bloomberg "care" about those folks?

Do we really need any more Mosque's?

There were approx 300 mosques prior to 9/11.
Within one year afterwords, they had built 10's of thousands, several hundred thousand new mosques we knew to be filled mainly with Illegal Aliens and Illegal alien imams, primarily and almost exclusively Wahabists.

We do not need to give them land.

It is unconscionable as it is that the Interior Dept is already underway with an islamic tribute to the terrorists at the Crash Site of Flight 93 with a giant red Crescent perfectly oriented to Mecca.

I saw a commenter post the idea that if they were serious in their English stated intent, the $100 million should be better spent on the families of the victims of 9/11, and restoration projects that better reflect what the terrorists attacked and tore down.

Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as "hallowed ground"?

There is only one answer. It is a monument to victory from which they will urinate on the hallowed graves of the people killed on 9-11.

James O’Keefe Arrested in Phone Tampering at Landrieu Office

Federal officials charged four men on Tuesday with plotting to pose as telephone technicians and tamper with the telephone system in the New Orleans office of Senator Mary Landrieu, Democrat of Louisiana. One of the men was a filmmaker who gained fame last year by secretly recording members of the community group Acorn giving him advice on how to set up a brothel.

The charges seem to be kind of a stretch, unless they implicated themselves by telling the feds that it was their intent to tamper with the phones.....otherwise it's just a tresspassing case, but either way, a bad move. I am staying neutral. The men involved in what took place need to be heard in court.

On the other hand, if there were no wire tapping devices to be found, then that makes such claims false – why am I not surprised that the usual suspects will make these false assumptions?

There could be a good case for the three attempting to investigate why it is that Landrieu’s constituents cannot reach her office. In other words, Landrieu and her office staff have tampered with the phones so that no one can get through. This might indeed explain why they used the cell phone to try and reach the office phone.

It is best not to get those knickers in a twist over this matter until it is resolved in the courts.

There is more than O’Keefe involved and all of the young men have their own reputations to consider.

What is different about this attempt to get at a truth and that of a 60 minutes reporter who goes under cover to give some really dodgy story in a kangaroo court environment?

We should not be talking about the case until it is resolved. But my money is betting that this story is way exaggerated.

The Obama Salute

Never a soldier himself, but suddenly their commander-in-chief, President Barack Obama wanted to learn the job from the ground up. Including the salute. Under the guidance of an expert, aides say Obama privately repeated his salute over and over again until he got it down. In a testament to how sensitive the White House is about the commander in chief practicing this basic military gesture, aides would not say who taught Obama how to salute. But he knows how to to bow to dictators!

Tiger Woods, Mr. Squeaky-clean

During the Bill Clinton impeachment idiocy of 1998, many on the left said that if Clinton were removed from office, let it be for gutting welfare or for imposing sanctions on Iraq, and not l'affaire Lewinsky.

Today, Tiger Woods, the famous, wealthy and most PR-conscious athlete on earth, finally finds himself subject to scrutiny. But, similar to Clinton's scandal, his scandal has more to do with his personal life than more substantive issues. The media has staked out his Isleworth home for round-the-clock coverage about a bizarre "car accident" this past week involving his wife, a fire hydrant and a golf club. The questions being posed are as breathless as they are weightless: "Were Tiger's facial lacerations the result of the car crash, or an attack from his wife, Elin?" "Is this about the rumored 'other woman' in New York City?" "Did Elin Woods smash the rear of his car with a golf club to rescue Tiger, or was she smashing up the car as he pulled away?" One last question: Who the hell cares? Granted, there is a "man bites dog" aspect to this story. In Woods's roughly fourteen years in the public eye, he has never even been caught littering. His image has been cemented as a man of ungodly intensity.

This squeaky-clean reputation has helped Woods become the richest athlete in history. His career course earnings are $92 million. When you factor in advertisements, corporate appearances and other off-course aspects of "Tiger Inc.," it makes sense that Tiger Woods is America's first athlete to reach billionaire status.
